Janice Sue (Lathem) Hoopaugh

Mrs. Janice Sue (Lathem) Hoopaugh, age 75 of Lula, passed away Saturday, April 4, 2026.

The family will receive friends from 4 to 7 pm Tuesday, April 7, 2026, at Memorial Park Riverside Chapel. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Wednesday, April 8, 2026, at the funeral home. Inurnment will be held at Memorial Park Cemetery at a later date.

Janice was born April 14, 1950, in Gainesville, Georgia. She was the daughter of the late Reed and Grace Lathem. Janice was a graduate of North Hall High School.

Janice had a love for singing Christian Music. Her favorite scripture was Phillippians 4:13: I can do all things through Christ which strengthened me.

She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Bill; daughter, Susann and her son Ron all of Lula; sisters, Sandra Abee of Dahlonega and Brenda (Jim) Wallace of Murrayville; her nephews, nieces and a special friend, Marie Taubel. Janice’s 4-legged companion, Little Bit, spent the first few hours after her passing looking for his Mama.
