Janice Kay Orr Lockhart

Mrs. Janice Kay Orr Lockhart, age 77, passed away on Tuesday, September 2, 2025 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville, Georgia. She was born to the late Kelsey & Eva K. Strickland Orr on January 23, 1948 in Hall County.

A funeral service will be held in the Chapel at Memorial Park Funeral Home on Friday, September 5, 2025 at 2:00 PM. Interment will follow at Mt. Carmel Cemetery. Reverend Bobby Griffin and Reverend Daren Hicks will officiate the service. The family will be receiving friends on Thursday, September 4, 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM.

Mrs. Lockhart is preceded in death by her parents, sisters, Linda Evans and Susie Dixon, brothers, John Orr and Ray Orr.

She is survived by her husband, Richard Dean Lockhart (Maysville, GA); son and daughter-in-law, Michael Dean & Shamala Lockhart (Maysville, GA); grandchildren, Daniel, Brandon, & Brielle Lockhart, sisters; Joyce Grindle (Commerce, GA); Judy Free (Gainesville, GA); Brenda Smith (Macon, GA); brothers, Ronnie Orr (Gainesville, GA); Lonnie & Mary Orr (Flowery Branch, GA); and Kelvin Orr (Gainesville, GA).
