Ms. Jean Cagle Palfrey passed away peacefully on April 25th, 2026 after a long and courageous battle with dementia.
Born on December 3, 1948, in Atlanta, Georgia, she was the beloved daughter of the late Loomis Albert Cagle and Annie Bell Cagle (Davis). She graduated from O’Keefe High School, and went on to earn her degree from Shorter College in 1970.
Following her graduation, Jean began her career as a teacher. After welcoming her daughter, she transitioned into the corporate world, joining Robinson Humphrey in 1975 as an Administrative Assistant. She built a remarkable career, ultimately retiring in 2015 from SunTrust Robinson Humphrey as VP of Business Technology Operations.
Jean will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved her. She was a dedicated mother and grandmother whose greatest joy was her family and friends.
She is survived by her daughter, Shelley Palfrey Hall (Chris) of Jefferson, Georgia; two grandchildren: Olivia Hall and Jenna Hall; her sister, Betty Cagle of Marietta, Georgia; her brother, Jim Cagle of Rockmart, Georgia.
Her family wants to express deep appreciation to the staff of Phoenix Senior Living Community in Braselton, Georgia for taking such great care of her during her time there.
The family will receive friends and loved ones for a visitation on Wednesday, April 29, 2026, from 11:00am to 1:00pm.
A service will be held at 1:00pm in the chapel at Braselton Funeral Home (5257 Hwy 53, Braselton, GA, 30517) on Wednesday, April 29, 2026.
The burial will follow on Thursday, April 30, 2026, at 11:00am; at the Riverview Memorial Park & Garden Cemetery located at ( 5411 S Cobb Dr SE, Smyrna, GA 30080 )
