Joe Ella (Roberts) Davis

            Ms. Joe Ella Roberts Davis, age 86 of Lula, passed away on Thursday, August 31, 2023 at her residence following an extended illness.

            Funeral services are scheduled for Sunday, September 3, 2023 at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with interment to follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.  Reverend Mark Stroud, Reverend Lance Fuller and Reverend Benji Boone will officiate.  The family will receive friends on Saturday, September 2, 2023 from 2 – 4 pm and 6 – 8 pm at the funeral home.

            Ms. Davis was born July 5, 1937 in Gainesville, Georgia to the late Fred L. Roberts and Lottie Anglin Roberts.  She retired from Leece-Neville and later worked at Lyman Hall Elementary School as a para-pro.  Joe Ella was a member of Pleasant Union Baptist Church and was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Harold R. Davis and her sister, Gloria Roberts Durham.

            Ms. Davis is survived by her son & daughter-in-law, Darryl & Carol Davis of Lula, her grandsons and their wives, Chad & Michelle Davis of Lula and Jason & Anna Davis of Braselton, her great-granddaughters, Londyn Davis, Charlie Davis, Emmie Jae Davis and Ellsie Wrynn Davis, her step-great-granddaughters, Kylie Allison and Aubrie Allison, her brother & sister-in-law, Stanley & Sandra Roberts of Gainesville, her sister, Janice Miller of Gainesville and a number of nieces and nephews.

Memorial Park Funeral Home, 2030 Memorial Park Road, Gainesville, GA  30504 is in charge of arrangements.
