Johnny Elbert Pirkle, age 74, passed away on Monday, May 25, 2026. He was born on October 2, 1951, he was the beloved son of the late Gene and Christine Pirkle.
Johnny was a devoted family man who shared 45 wonderful years of marriage with Jackie Pirkle. He was a man who never met a stranger and was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. He had a deep love for history, thoroughly enjoyed music and dancing, and cherished every moment spent making memories with his family and friends. Johnny was also a dedicated professional, retiring from General Motors after 35 years of loyal service.
He leaves behind a rich legacy of love, laughter, and family. He leaves behind his children, Renea & Nick Eldridge, Jason Pirkle, Jeanine & Chris Whitmire; grandchildren, Taylor Ewing, Morgan Ewing, Madison Chester (Trevor), Madelynn Frankum (Brandon), Walker Whitmire (Emily), Matthew Pirkle, Tristan Williams; great-grandchildren, Charli, Hunter, Easton, Everlee, Ella Kate, Jase, Waylon; his beloved dog, Dixie Ann; his siblings, Martha & James Mullinax (sister) brother-in-law, Kathy & Wayne Bryant (sister) brother-in-law, Sharon Hutson, sister-in-law, a large extended family, and a special friend, Rose Hubbert and her family.
A funeral service will be held in the Chapel at Memorial Park Funeral Home on Friday, May 29, 2026, at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. Reverend Joel Shadburn will officiate the service. The family will receive friends on Thursday, May 28, 2026, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Memorial Park Funeral Home.
