Jose Luis Rodriguez

Mr. Jose Luis Rodriguez, age 35, of Gillsville, passed away on Tuesday, April 21, 2026. Born on January 21, 1991, in Gainesville, Georgia, he was the beloved son of Betsabe Barrett.

Jose will be remembered as a bright and joyful presence, someone whose warmth and happiness could light up any room he entered. He had a kind spirit and a way of making those around him feel welcome and valued.

He was a devoted and loving husband of 15 years to his wife, Diana Rodriguez of Gillsville, with whom he shared a deep and enduring bond.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son, Vann King of Gainesville; his mother, Betsabe Barrett of Gainesville; and his sisters, Betsy Furey, Melissa Barrett, Celine Barrett, Vanessa Barrett, and Jennifer Barrett, all of Gainesville.

Funeral services will be held in the Chapel at Memorial Park Funeral Home on Saturday, May 2, 2026, at 2:00 PM. Reverend Santos Castillo and Reverend Carmen Menjivar will officiate the service, with interment to follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 9:00 AM until the service hour at the funeral home.
