Joseph Waverly Rogers, age 93 of Hoschton Georgia passed away on Thursday, January 22, 2026.
He was born April 3, 1932 and was preceded in death by his Mother, Fannie Mae (Tyler) Rogers and Father, Joseph Waverly Rogers. Joseph is survived by his loving wife, Dolores Reinhardt Rogers, sister Betsy Gunter and sons Craig (Susie), Mark (Susan), David (Melissa), Mike (Lisa) and Tim (Jan). Further survived by 8 grandchildren ( Craig Thomas, Hannah, Shannon, Joseph, Allison, Jacob, Jessica and Emily), 2 great-grandchildren (Theodore and Adeline), 5 nieces (Paula, Tracy, Kathi, Debbie, Cindy), nephew (Gary) and brother-in-law (Richard (Cheri).
Joseph and Dolores were very blessed to be able to celebrate their 70th Wedding Anniversary in December 2025. Growing up, his family always referred to him as “Bud”. Before enlisting in the Navy Joseph played semi-pro baseball. Joseph served in the United States Navy as a Navy Electrician supporting onboard electrical systems and electrical equipment for submarines and other naval vessels. He later enjoyed distinguished careers with IBM and Coca-Cola as an Information Technology Executive.
He loved spending time with all the family, especially his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, attending many graduations and special events, which gave him much pride and joy. Joseph was an avid woodworker and golfer, loved listening to music and playing his keyboard. Having the grandchildren around him singing Christmas carols while he played his keyboard will always be a cherished memory. Joseph loved telling stories to the family.
Services with be held at Memorial Park Braselton Funeral Home in the garden on Saturday, March 28th 2026.
