Joseph "Joe" Vitale

Mr. Joseph (Joe) Vitale at the age of 59 of Buford, GA passed away September 9, 2023.

Memorial services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Saturday, September 23, 2023 at St. Mary & St. Martha Bethany Episcopal Church at 4346 Ridge Road, Buford, GA 30519. Rev. Laura Masterson will officiate. Visitation will be from 12:00 to 1:00 P.M. Saturday, September 23, 2023 at the church.

Joe was born June 13, 1964 in Abington Twp, PA. He was a 1982 graduate of Shawnee High School. After high school, he served 20 years in the Army, retiring at rank 1 SG (E8). Most of his post-military career was spent proudly serving at the Center for Disease Control & Prevention.

He was preceded in death by his father, Salvatore Vitale. Joe is survived by his mother, Carolyn Orth; wife, Susan Vitale; former spouse, Betty Vitale and their children, Brandon Vitale, Samantha (Samuel) Trader; siblings, Denise & Michael DePaul, Steve & Kori Wilson, and Christine & Michael Bracey; and nieces & nephews, Marie DePaul, Stella, Henry & Ruby Wilson, & Kyle Gabrielli.
