Joshua Wade Harston

Joshua Wade Harston, of Gainesville, Georgia, passed away on November 30, 2025, at the age of 49.

He was born on November 11, 1976, in Hillsboro, Illinois, to Ronald Harston and Mary Jo Hand.

Josh was preceded in death by his father, Ronald Harston, and his sister, Julie Harston.  He is survived by his daughter, Olivia Harston; his son, Nathan Harston; his mother, Mary Jo Hand, his brother, Blake Harston (Denise), his sister, Suzanne Cotton (Tim) and an abundance of nieces and nephew who adored him.

A gifted craftsman, Josh took great pride in creating, building, and fixing anything he could. He loved spending time outdoors and enjoyed hunting and taking on any project that allowed him to use his skills and creativity.  Josh had a natural ability to bring laughter to those around him – his quick humor and warm presence could lift anyone’s spirits.  Above all, he loved his family deeply, and that love was reflected in every part of his life.

Josh’s kindness, talent and steady companionship will be forever cherished by those who knew and loved him.

A celebration of life for Joshua will be held at a future date.
