Josie Scott Channell

Mrs. Josie Scott Channell, age 87 passed away November 30, 2025, surrounded by her family.

Mrs. Josie Channell was born on January 11, 1938, to the late Clifford Edward Scott and Annie Pearl Scott of Jonesboro, GA.

Mrs. Channell spent many years in business with her husband owning and operating roller-skating rinks.  For years Mrs. Channell and her husband were known as “Mr. Bob and Ms. Jo” to many children and their parents. 

Mrs. Channell was a dedicated and beloved wife, mother and grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Mr. Robert Channell.

Mrs. Channell is survived by her children:

Son and daughter in law Doug & Ellen Channell

Son and daughter in law Dave & Karen Channell

Daughter & son in law Chris & Lisa Bozeman

Mrs. Channell is also survived by her grandchildren Brittany Barber Jordan, Mandy Barber McManious, Bobby Channell, Timmy Channell, Mallory Channell, Jay Channell, Erin Channell Wiley, Jerry Channell, Scott Channell, Lauren Bozeman Gauthey, Caris Bozeman Lockwood, Joy Bozeman and 18 great grandchildren.

A celebration of life service will be held on Monday, December 8, 2025, at

Christ Place Church, 3428 Atlanta Highway, Flowery Branch, GA.

Visitation 2:00-3:00 P.M. East lobby

Celebration of Life Service 3:00 P.M. in the chapel.
