Mrs. Joyce Smith Gazaway, age 73, passed away on Saturday, October 18, 2025 in Braselton, Georgia. She was born to the late Jimmy Frank Smith and Jewell Dean Stargel on May 21, 1952 in Gainesville, Georgia.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 22, 2025 at 2:00 PM in the Chapel at Memorial Park Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends on Tuesday, October 21, 2025 from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at Memorial Park Funeral Home.

Mrs. Gazaway is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Larry David Gazaway; and brother, Jimmy Frank Smith, Jr.

She is survived by her sons, Michael Gazaway of Gainesville, GA, Jason Gazaway of Hoschton, GA; grandchildren, Skyler Gazaway of Gainesville, GA, Gage Gazaway of Gainesville, GA; brother, Johnny Smith (Alice) of Gainesville, GA; nephew and niece, Tim and Mandy Smith of Hoschton, GA; great-nieces and nephews, Timberlie Smith of Hoschton, GA, Ty and Mallory Smith of Maysville, GA, Amberli and British Hanna of Hoschton, GA, Rip Smith of Hoschton, GA; and special great-aunt, Jayne Stargel of Elkton, VA.
