Julia Marie (Smith) Goodroe

Mrs. Julia Marie Smith Goodroe, age 86, of Oakwood, Ga. passed away on Thursday March 16, 2023 at her residence.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday March 19, 2023 at 3:30 p.m. at Poplar Springs Baptist Church with Rev. Matthew Vandergriff officiating.  Interment will be on Monday March 20, 2023 at the Tazewell Cemetery in Tazewell, Ga.

The family will receive friends at Memorial Park Funeral Home on Saturday March 18, 2023 from 2:00 until 4:00 p.m  and from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m.

Mrs. Goodroe was born on March 16, 1937 in Tazewell, Ga. to the late Jesse Walter and Irene Wall Smith.  She was retired from the Hall County Tax Assessors Office and was a member of Poplar Springs Baptist Church where she was very active.

Survivors include sons William Brian Goodroe of Oakwood and Bradley Neal Goodroe of Winder. 2 grandchildren, Kaylee Marie Goodroe and Christopher Jordan Goodroe both of Cleveland, Ga.
