Kimberly "Kim" Watson Obituary

Mrs. Kimberly “Kim” D. Watson, age 60 of Gainesville, GA passed away peacefully on June 14, 2026, surrounded by her loving family at Piedmont Hospital following an extended illness.

She was retired from Regions Bank and became a homemaker and loved nothing more than being at home with her 7 dogs and 6 cats. She always enjoyed a ride up to the Blue Ridge Mountains or a weekend trip to Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge, TN. She was of the Baptist faith and lived her life being a kind, gentle soul ensuring that she treated everyone with kindness the way God intended. Her strong convictions and faith helped her for the past 2 years get through her illness. Through the pain, multiple hospitalizations, and multiple testing she never lost her faith. If anything, it became stronger and she was a strong woman of Christ.

She is preceded in death by her late husband Darryl Evans, parents Howard & Elsie Rutherford, sister Shirley Sims (Rutherford), and brother Michael Rutherford.

She is survived by her husband Craig Watson of Gainesville, her 2 children Stephen Evans of Gainesville & Ryan Evans of Winder, grandchildren Makenzie Evans of Gainesville, Spencer Evans of Gainesville, and Ryland Evans of Gainesville, niece Becky Howard of Powder Springs, stepchildren Ryan (Tiffany) Watson of Gainesville & Josh Watson of Oakwood.

The family will be receiving friends at Memorial Park Funeral Home on Wednesday, June 17, 2026 from 5:00 to 9:00 PM.

Memorial Park Funeral Home, 2030 Memorial Park Drive, Gainesville, Georgia 30504 is in charge of the arrangements.
