Laura Armour Posey

It is with great sadness to announce the passing of Laura Armour Posey, 68 of Oakwood, Georgia. She was born in Marietta, Georgia daughter of James Armour and Leota Savage. She was a geriatric nurse and medicine woman. She was also an animal rescuer and loved music and dancing. She loved collecting and dealing in antiques; mostly she just loved to talk. She always helped others in need and prayed that we could all love one another.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, February 13, 2026 at 1 PM in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home.

She is survived by her spouse, George Posey; son, Britton Posey; brother-in-law, Tony Stone; nephew, Bryan Stone; sister, Althea Bleckley; niece, Claire Bleckley; and nephew, Preston Far.
