Loy Davis Roper

Mr. Loy Davis Roper passed away on Wednesday, Oct 1, 2025, at the age of 77.

He was born to the late Donald and Emma Jean (Bennett) Roper on October 3, 1947.

He proudly served his country as a Vietnam Veteran and later furthered his education as a graduate of Lanier Technical College. Loy found his calling as a jeweler, working in the Oakwood area. He and his wife, Connie, were avid cruisers and enjoyed spending much of their time making cherished memories traveling together. Loy also enjoyed golfing and deep-sea fishing with his buddies. 

The family will be receiving friends on Monday, October 6, 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Memorial Park North, Riverside Chapel. 

He is survived by his beloved wife of 30 years, Connie Roper; children, ReTricia Owens, Loy (Michelle) Roper III; stepchildren Alison (Eric) Stover, Lauren (Joe) Mumford; 7 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren; and sibling, Brenda Cronic.
