Major Beatrice (Tidman) Hopper

Major Beatrice Hopper, 81, formerly of Gainesville, passed away Saturday, January 21, 2023.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 28, 2023 in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home, with Major Brenda Singletary officiating. The family will receive friends at Memorial Park Funeral Home, 2030 Memorial Park Dr., Gainesville, GA 30504 on Saturday from 9:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m.  The committal service will be in West View Cemetery, Atlanta, GA.

Born on May 18, 1941 in Baton Rouge, LA, she was the daughter of the late Reginald and Minnie Tidman. She was a Salvation Army officer.

In addition to her parents, Major Beatrice Hopper was preceded in death by her sister, Major Minnie Tidman, and her son, Captain Robert Hopper, Jr.

Major Beatrice Hopper is survived by her husband, Major Robert Hopper, Sr., formerly of Gainesville and currently residing in Oklahoma City, and her daughter, Joyce Hopper.
