Marvin O. Crane

Mr. Marvin O. Crane, age 84, of Gainesville, Georgia, passed away peacefully to his heavenly home on Sunday December 21, 2025.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm on Friday, December 26, 2025, at Antioch Baptist Church in Auraria, Georgia. Funeral services will be held 1:00 pm Friday, December 26, 2025 also at Antioch Baptist Church in Auraria, Georgia, with interment to follow in the church cemetery.

Marvin was born August 21, 1941 in Banks County and was the son of the late Ollie Crane and Jimmie Lou (Garrison) Crane. He is also preceded by his wife the late Mildred (Hallman) Crane; brother, Lee Roy Crane; and son-in-law, Scott Presley.

He is survived by his children Shelby Presley; Terry Crane (Lisa); grandchildren, Ashley Cain, Amber Presley, and Joe Charon; great-grandchildren, Chloey Cain, Alysa Gee, Conner Evans and Aubrey Presley. He is also survived by his siblings, Larry Crane (Connie) and Gene Crane and a number of nieces and nephews. He also leaves his very special pets, Wiggles and A.J. which he loved dearly.

Marvin was known as the “Battery Man” of Gainesville as the owner of A&A Battery formerly Best Battery for 40 plus years. He was a very strong man of God. He served as a deacon and was very involved in Antioch Baptist Church for 50 plus years. He was always giving and helping others in need and would give you the shirt off his back. He enjoyed taking care of everyone’s cars, especially on keeping your car running with a Best Battery.
