Mary Madgie Mosley

Mrs. Mary Madgie Mosley, age 72, passed away on Friday, May 1, 2026 in Gainesville, Georgia. She was born to the late Clifton B. Wehunt and Sarah Jane Watson Wehunt on October 3, 1953 in Gainesville, Georgia.

She cherished every moment spent with her grandchildren and had a lot of fond memories with her sisters as well. They loved going on trips to gospel singings, where the Sunny South Quartet fondly knew them as “the Golden Girls.” She enjoyed peaceful getaways to the mountains and embraced a simple, fulfilling life. She especially loved going to new places, creating memories with the people dearest to her.

A funeral service will be held at New Haven Congregational Holliness Church on Tuesday, May 5, 2026 at 2:00 PM. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. Reverend Bobby Griffin and Reverend Ed Chambers will be officiating the service. The family will receive friends at Memorial Park Funeral Home on Monday, May 4, 2026 from 6:00 to 9:00 PM.

Mrs. Mosley is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Danny Mosley; son, Michael Mosley; and siblings, Pauline Hicks, Brenda Wehunt, and Ernest Wehunt.

She is survived by her children, Jason (Bree) Mosley of Maysville, GA, Brett (Kiesha) Mosley of Gainesville, GA; grandchildren, Luke, Colby, Mayson, and Brett Mosley, Breah Rogers, Cayla Lewallen, Cody Lewallen; great-grandchildren, Kasen and Gunner Osborne; siblings, Annie (Jimmy) Smith of Clermont, GA, Shelia (Danny) Ballard of Murrayville, GA, Marie (James) Grier of Gainesville, GA, Ricky (Janie) Wehunt of Homer, GA; and a number of loving nieces and nephews.
