Mary Ann Schlegel Garrison

Mrs. Mary Ann Schlegel Garrison, age 89, passed away peacefully in her residence on Saturday, November 8, 2025 in Alto, Georgia. She was born to the late Andrew Peter Schlegel and Barbara McDonald Schlegel on April 24, 1936 in San Diego, California.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 11, 2025 at 2:00 PM in the Chapel at Memorial Park Funeral Home. Reverend Craig Broome will be officiating the service. Interment will follow at Hickory Flat United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends at Memorial Park Funeral Home on Monday, November 10, 2025 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM.

Mrs. Garrison is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Charles Aaron Garrison; siblings, Jenny Vreeland, Pete Schlegel; and granddaughter, Tara Diane Garrison.

She is survived by her children, Theresa Garrison (William Fowler III) of Lula, GA. Keith Garrison (Carolyn) of Alto, GA, Andrew Garrison (Karen) of Cornelia, GA, Douglas Garrison (Sandra) of Lula, GA; sisters, Virginia Yuraska of Montgomery, AL, Kaye Greenwood of Colorado; and 8 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren.
