Mary Frances (Truelove) Hooper

Mrs. Mary Frances Hooper, 99, of Gainesville, passed away Tuesday, May 16, 2023 following a sudden illness.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, May 19, 2023 in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home. Randall Baird will officiate. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Memorial Park Funeral Home on Thursday, May 18, 2023 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.

Born on August 24, 1923 in Gainesville, she was the daughter of the late Edgar and Sarah Elizabeth Fields Truelove. She was retired from Chicopee where she worked as a weaver. She was a member of Grace Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Hooper was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer Hooper and daughter, Linda Dorsey.

Mrs. Hooper is survived by her daughter and son in law, Carolyn and Wesley Sisson, Jr. of Gainesville; granddaughter, Melissa Anglin of Gainesville; grandson and wife, Kevin and Rita Baird of Braselton; granddaughter and husband, Nicole and Mark Thompson of Buford; granddaughter and husband, Paige and Jeff Jameson of Buford; 8 great grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren; brother and sister in law, Bill and Linda Truelove of Gainesville; brother, Johnny Truelove of Murrayville; sister, Louise Lee of Gainesville; sister, Jo Adams of Clarkesville and a number of nieces, nephews and other loving relatives.
