Michael Paul Gorshe

Michael Paul Gorshe passed away at Northeast Georgia Medical Center on Jan 9, 2026. Michael was a resident of Gainesville, Georgia.

Michael Paul Gorshe, born August 10, 1963, in Detroit, Michigan Michael grew up in Michigan. He was brought up and still considered himself a proud Catholic. Michael (ever the hard-working entrepreneur) was a patriotic, small business owner of the company Mode-Smart LLC. He was an avid animal lover and had several pets including his treasured Chica Louise. He loved sports, particularly hockey. He was a Detroit Red Wings Fan. He also loved nature and enjoyed fly-fishing and boating. Michael was creative and enjoyed writing music, designing homes in CAD and various other forms of art.

Michael was preceded in death by his beloved father, Martin Gorshe of Traverse City, Michigan. Michael is survived by his fiancée-Donna Feathers who resided with him in Gainesville, Georgia, Donna’s children

(Farrah/Ben Lee) and Donna’s grandchildren, he considered to be his own (Sylar and Summer Lee). Michael is also survived by his much-beloved mother, Helen N Gorshe of Traverse City, Michigan, brother Doug Gorshe of Traverse City, Michigan, his four wonderful nephews, grand nephews, many aunts, uncles, cousins, and so many friends.

Michael will be sorely missed by all those who survived and loved him.

A memorial service will be held 11:00 am Saturday, February 7, 2026 in Gainesville at Memorial Park Riverside Chapel, Michael will also have a family celebration of life in Travers City, Michigan at a TBD date in early Spring 2026.
