Michael Steffman Obituary

Mr. Michael Thomas Steffman, 49, of Braselton, passed away on April 24, 2026.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, May 16, 2026, at 2:00pm, in the Chapel of Braselton Funeral Home, with Rev. Jerry Edmonson officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 11:00am.

Mr. Steffman was born on July 15, 1976, in Meriden, Connecticut to Robert George Steffman and Francine Lynn Revoir Steffman. He retired from the Braselton Police Department, where he served in multiple capacities, most recently as the Chief of Police.

Mike had a great love for Jesus Christ and was recently baptized.  He loved baseball and enjoyed being a little league coach for his kids’ teams.  He was a devoted Red Sox and Patriots fan.  He was also devoted to his children whom he called every single day without fail.

Michael is survived by his children Mary, Michael Jr, Matthew and Asa Steffman; his parents Robert and Francine; his siblings Robert Jr., Lynn, Kathleen, and Kimberly, and their spouses; and many beloved nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family’s GoFundMe page https://gofund.me/933f2fb8b to help support his children. Your generosity will help provide comfort and stability as they face the days ahead.
