Michealita "Mickie" Dale Barber

Michealita Dale (Mickie) Henderson Barber, 82 of Covington, GA passed away Friday, April 17, 2026 at her home In Oxford, Ga, with her children by her side. She was born September 5,1943 in Hays, KS to Dale H. and Delores M (Rupp) Henderson. She graduated from Ellis High School in 1961.

Mickie had worked as a certified nursing assistant with Morning Sun Care Center. She also earned a Cosmetology Certificate in Manhattan, Kansas. Throughout her Life Journey she attended Bible Apostolic Church, New Life Assembly, Higher Praise Tabernacle, and Victorious Life Church in Covington. Her Favorite time and most enjoyable times came from going to church to share in God’s Love and Grace. She also loved spending time with her children, her grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren as we were her world.

She is survived by a son Michael Barber and her daughters Julie (Terry) Crawford and Gwynn (JC) Barber. Three brothers Floyd Henderson and Dale Wayne (Vickie) Henderson both of Ellis, and Terry Henderson of Wamego, Ks.  Her sister Tina Marie Kroeger of Milton, Fl.  She is also survived by 10 grandchildren Randy, Krystal, Samatha, Destiny, Emily, Stephen, Alexis, Micheal, Chris, Freddy, also 11 great grandchildren Liam, Ollie, Lennox, Leo, Alissa, Collin, Brenden, Brooklynn, Loretta, Halley, Hudson, and 3 great great grandchildren Emersyn, Lucus, Bowen.

She was preceded in death by her daughter Lynda Jean Becker and infant daughter Tammy Dale Barber, her parents, two brothers Bob and Gordon Henderson and Sister Sharon Gerber.
