Mike Shoemake

Mr. Mike Shoemake, age 68, passed away on Sunday, February 8, 2026 in Gainesville, Georgia. He was born to the late Edward Shoemake and Gladys Matthews Smith on February 13, 1957 in Gainesville, Georgia.

A funeral service will be held in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home on Thursday, February 12, 2026 at 2:00 PM. Reverend Bill Trotter will officiate the service. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, February 10, 2026 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and Wednesday, February 11, 2026 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Memorial Park Funeral Home.

Mr. Shoemake is preceded in death by his parents; daughters, Kathy Miller, Judy Shoemake; brothers, Bill Shoemake, Cooter Shoemake, Robert Shoemake, Rex Shoemake, and Tim Shoemake.

 He is survived by his wife, Betty Shoemake of Gainesville; daughters, Betty Ray of Gainesville, Susan Watson of Gainesville; son, James Wade of Gainesville; brother-in-law, Terry Miller of Gainesville; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
