Mr. Ernest A. Filos, Jr., age 74, of Flowery Branch passed away Friday, November 18, 2022 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center – Gainesville, surrounded by his loved ones.

Born in the Republic of Panama on July 7, 1948 to Ernesto Sr. and Ida Filos, he moved to Hialeah, Florida in 1960 where he resided until moving to Flowery Branch in 1986. A Vietnam Veteran, he honorably served in the US Army. He retired after many years from Lowe’s of Gainesville, in 202O where he was a well-respected and highly esteemed employee.

Mr. Filos is survived by his wife of 53 years, Shelia; daughter, Alisa West (Emory); son, Jason Filos (Kelly); sister, Melida Manion (Larry); 3 grandchildren, Derrick, Alexandria and Anthony Filos; and numerous nieces & nephews.

A Celebration of Life will take place at a later date.
