Mrs. Dora Blanche Smolk Weaver, 84, passed away Wednesday, November 23, 2022 surrounded by her family.

A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, November 28, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Memorial Park. Rev. Brian Smith will officiate. Interment will follow the service at Redwine United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends at Memorial Park Funeral Home Sunday, November 27, 2022 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.

 

Born on September 12, 1938 in San Diego, California, she was the daughter of the late William Floyd Smolk and the late Cora Geriah Melissa Crane Smolk. Mrs. Weaver was a retired Supervisor from Crystal Farms. She was also a dedicated member of Redwine United Methodist Church. For many years she was heavily involved in Boy Scouts. One of her favorite hobbies was genealogy and researching her family tree and history. In her younger years, she enjoyed spending hours on end playing video games with her son and grandson.

 

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Weaver is preceded in death by her husband, Virdis Hammond Weaver; daughters, Angela Marie Howington and Pamela Roxanne Hope, and grand-son, Steve Roberts.

 

Mrs. Weaver is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Michelle and Phillip Gosnell of Daphne, Alabama; son, Mack Howington of Alabama; son and daughter-in-law, Tracy and Tracy Howington of Braselton; son and daughter-in-law, Bill and Jessica Weaver of Gainesville, step-son and daughter-in-law, Ronald and Janet Weaver of Braselton; step-daughter and son-in-law, Lisa Palmer of Gainesville; granddaughters, Colette Sturtevant, Lovda Howington, Nellie Weaver, and Stephanie Roberts; grandsons, Mack Howington Jr. and wife Farrah Howington, Scott Howington, Ryan Gosnell and wife Jessica Gosnell, Caleb Howington, and Gabriel Weaver; 11 Great-Grandchildren and 3 Great-Great-Grandchildren, along with a host of other loving relatives and friends.
