Mrs. Ruby Wall Greenway

Mrs. Ruby Wall Greenway, age 98, of Gainesville, Georgia, passed away Saturday, November 26, 2022 at her home surrounded by her loved ones.

A remembrance service is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. Thursday, December 1, 2022 at Memorial Park Riverside Chapel with interment to follow in Air Line Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mrs. Greenway was born January 19, 1924, in Hall County and was the daughter of the late William, Warren Wall, Sr. and Augusta (Erwin) Wall.

She was preceded in death by her husband, H.D. (Dana) Greenway, Sr.; son, H.D. (Chuck) Greenway, Jr.; brothers, William Warren Wall, Jr (Bill), Van Wall, Ed Wall, Patrick Wall, Daniel Wall; sisters, Dorothy Wall Irwin and Mary Wall Lancaster; grandson, Christopher Cape.

She is survived by her daughters, Carolyn Cape and Rita Shockley, both of Gainesville, Georgia; seven grandchildren, Steven Cape, Michael Greenway, Kimberly Fauscett, Lori Adams, Jonathan Peck, Jason Peck, Joshua Peck; seventeen great grandchildren; six great-great grandchildren.

Mrs. Greenway was a member of Air Line Baptist Church since 1952 where she taught Sunday School, Vacation Bible School, and Children’s Church for sixty years. She also shared her musical gifts by singing in the choir and in small groups.

She was a successful businesswoman primarily in the rental business. A few of her other unique talents include teaching others to swim, designing and constructing original furniture pieces and stain glass windows. She was indeed a gifted lady.
