Nancy Kehoe (Golden) Carman

Anastasia “Nancy” Golden Carman died peacefully in her home on June 10, 2026. The family will be receiving friends at St. Oliver Plunkett Church, 3200 Brooks Drive SW, Snellville, GA on Monday, June 22 at 10:15 AM with a funeral mass to follow at 11:00 AM.

Nancy was born on May 15, 1941 in Providence, Rhode Island to William Kehoe and Ann Reckling Golden of Palatka, Florida, where she was raised. She is predeceased by her parents, her beloved husband of 60 years, Theron Carman, and her daughter-in law, Jennifer Carman.

Left to mourn her passing are her six adoring children, Sharon Carman Sexton and husband Tim of Grayson, Georgia; Helen "Cece" Carman Siracuse and husband Kraig of Alexandria Virginia; Kevin Thomas Carman of Ventura, California; Claire Carman Garland and husband Will of Harding, New Jersey; Noelle Carman Davis and husband Jed of Essex, Vermont; and Theron Fredrick "Bubba" Carman, Jr. of Snellville, Georgia; her treasured grandchildren, Ian and Kali McMillian, Peyton and Maddie Sexton, Nicholas and Thomas Siracuse, Jasper Carman, Liam and Avery Garland, Lona and Georgia Davis, and Caroline Carman; her great granddaughter Emmalyn Sexton; and her loving caregiver Venus Graves.

Nancy lived a full life—filled with faith, family, and friends, and always in service to others. She graduated from Palatka High School in Florida and then went on to St. Joseph's Nursing School in Atlanta. While there she met the love of her life, Theron. They settled in Atlanta, where they raised their family and made lifelong friends. She was head of the Ladies Auxiliary at her beloved parish, Saints Peter and Paul, played softball, coached soccer, and taught Vacation Bible School—all while raising six children and working as a night nurse. Later in life she volunteered for Meals on Wheels and the Saint Vincent DePaul Society. Nancy was the life of the party (and threw lots of them), and she always had a sparkle—in her eyes and smile, but most especially on her clothes and shoes. She loved a great adventure—on white water rapids, snowy mountains, or deep in the ocean. She had a voracious mind, one that never stopped being curious about her faith, life, and the world. She also loved to travel, particularly to visit her children and grandchildren. She especially loved performing silly dances and comedy routines for them on their annual Carman Family Vacation. She was a faithful and adoring wife, a cherished mother and grandmother, and the truest friend for which anyone could ask. Her faith, generosity, and joyful spirit continue to live on in the family and friends she loved so deeply.
