Pamela Jeanne Spellman O’Connor

It is with a full heart that we share that our mother, Pamela Jeanne Spellman O’Connor, passed away peacefully on March 16, 2026.

Pamela was born on May 13, 1944 in Brooklyn, New York, the daughter of Marie Haynes and Timothy J. Spellman. She was raised in Brooklyn and educated at James Madison High School.

She came from a family connected to public service. Her grandfather served as Mayor of Rutland, Vermont, and her great-grandfather held the position of Secretary of Immigration.

Pamela met our father when she was young, beginning a lifelong connection that would grow into marriage and family. Together they raised two children.

She is survived by her husband, Rory, Sr., her son, Rory O’Connor, and her daughter, Maureen O’Connor, four grandchildren, and soon to be four great-grandchildren.  

At Pamela’s request, there will be no services. She will be cremated, and someday her ashes will be spread at sea together with our father’s.
