Paul Lee Winkles, Jr.

Mr. Paul Lee Winkles, Jr., 74, of Gainesville passed away March 21, 2023.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, March 25, 2023 in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home. Rev. Mike Taylor will officiate. Interment will be in Memorial Park cemetery. The family will receive friends at Memorial Park Funeral Home on Friday, March 24th from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.

Born on September 17, 1948 in Newnan, GA, he was the son of the late Paul Lee Winkles, Sr. and the late Margaret Dingler Winkles. Mr. Winkles was a proud Veteran of the United States Army, retired from the Railroad and a member of Central Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Winkles was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth Winkles; brothers, Jerry Winkles, Ricky Winkles; sister, Bobbie Stephens and the mother of his children, Paula Winkles.

Mr. Winkles is survived by his sons, Timmy (Gina) Winkles and Michael Winkles all of Alto, GA; stepson, Cale (Sandi) Hulsey of Demorest, GA; stepdaughter, Laura (Wade) Phillips of Gainesville; granddaughters, Brittany Hunt (Ryan) of Toccoa, GA, Makayla Winkles of Alto, GA; grandchildren, Neil (Avonlea) Holtzclaw of Dahlonega, Tyler Hulsey of Habersham, GA, Beth Hulsey of Commerce, GA, Brook (Dalton) Webb of Gainesville; great grandchildren, Braylin Winkles, Makenzie Hunt, Colt, Maddie Kate, Sawyer, Lillie, Kyler, Kyzer and a number of other loving relatives.
