Peggy Leonard Beauchamp

Mrs. Peggy Leonard Beauchamp, age 89, of Oakwood passed away May 29, 2026 at her residence, surrounded by family.

Funeral Services will be 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, June 2, 2026 in the Chapel of Memorial Park South Funeral Home with interment at Georgia National Cemetery at a later date. Phillip Jones will officiate. The family will receive friends 12:00-2:00 p.m., Tuesday, June 2, 2026 at Memorial Park South Funeral Home.

Mrs. Beauchamp was born June 15, 1936 to the late Lee Roy & Hortense Leonard in Atlanta.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Rufus Howard Beauchamp Jr.; and son David Beauchamp. Mrs. Beauchamp is survived by daughter Susan and son-in-law Chris Leiner, son Steve and daughter-in-law Vicki Beauchamp, daughter Cindy Beauchamp, son Brian Beauchamp, daughter Carey and son-in-law Philip Jones; grandchildren, Adam and Katie Beauchamp, Alex Beauchamp, Audrey Beauchamp, Tori and Luke Gilleland, Taylor Beauchamp, Ashley Leiner, Drew and Emily Leiner, Jordan Rutenberg, Stephen Lucas, Christian Lucas, Charleston Jones, Phillip Jones, Luke Jones and five great grandchildren.

Mrs. Beauchamp was a member of Heritage Hills Baptist Church in Conyers where she sang in the choir and taught Sunday School for many years. She was a faithful follower of Jesus Christ and joyfully shared her love and faith with many throughout her lifetime.
