Peggy June (Simpson) Owens

Mrs. Peggy June Owens, 90, of Walhalla, SC, passed away Tuesday, May 23, 2023.

Funeral services will be held at 3:30 p.m. Saturday, May 27, 2023 in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home. Rev. Bryan Bellotte and Ethan Perez will officiate. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Memorial Park Funeral Home Friday, May 26, 2023 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.

Born on June 4, 1932, in Chicopee, GA, she was the daughter of the late Winfred and Agnes Glisson Simpson. She was retired from the Georgia Poultry Federation and a member of New Haven Congregational Holiness Church. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Owens was preceded in death by her husband, Horace Owens; daughter, Pam Pavlovec; son, James Edward Scoggins; brother, Rudy Simpson; sister, Jeanine Welch and great grandson, Caleb Blewer.

Mrs. Owens is survived by her daughters, Lydia Long of Walhalla, SC, Denice Lopez of Metairie, LA; grandchildren, Deanna Bauer, Adam Scoggins, Holly Paolini, Alan Scoggins, Tracy Perez, Paige Blewer, Trent Bauer, Molly Rogers, Kasey Alexander; great grandchildren, Dylan Bauer, Natalie, Bauer, Kain Flores, Karah Justice, Kadie Bauer, Ethan Perez, Mya Bauer, Maddy Justice, Zuri Munoz Bauer, Eliana Perez, Mason Rogers, Camden Blewer, Grayson Blewer, Myles Rogers; great-great grandchild, Leo Bauer and a number of other loving relatives.
