Mr. Phil Stanly Newman, age 81, of Monroe, passed away on May 9, 2026, at the Northeast Georgia Medical Center – Braselton Campus.

Mr. Newman was born in Austell, Georgia on August 8, 1944, to the late Arthur Eli Newman and Jewel Etna Hicks. He dedicated 20 years of service to Coats and Clark Textile Mill.
He is survived by his niece, Sherry Shore of Monroe.
