Rainalda Dukeman Obituary

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Rainalda, a beloved daughter, wife, sister, sister-in-law, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt and dear friend.  She was a woman of deep faith, enduring strength, and boundless kindness whose life was marked by love for her family, devotion to the Lord, and a generous spirit that touched all who knew her.

Rainalda was preceded in death by her parents, John and Rita Beck; her beloved husband of 61 years, Larry Dukeman; her son, Scott Dukeman; and her daughters-in-law, Muff Kincaid and Tracey Dukeman.  She is survived by her sisters, Calandra Beck and Gwendolyn Seeman.

She leaves behind a loving family who will forever cherish her memory: her children, Stephen (Duke) Dukeman, Gregory Dukeman, Denise Courter (Brad), Brian Dukeman, and Kara Bradrick (Tim); her 13 grandchildren, Nicole Dukeman, Ashley Greenfield (Nathan), Emily Shaw (Josh), Sarah Downey (Jake), Julia Geiger (Derek), Spencer Dukeman (Brittany), Megan Scarberry (Taylor), Raychale Green (Ben), Anna Elemes (Nick), John Fowler, Josh Courter, Max Dukeman (Chloe), and Claire Courter; and 17 great-grandchildren, who brought her immense joy.

Rainalda embraced life with creativity, warmth, and grace.  She was an avid gardener and gifted floral designer, even serving as lead designer for Rose Bowl Parade floats. She delighted in creating miniature houses, traveling, solving puzzles, and playing cards, where she was well known for her remarkable poker face.  Born on Halloween, Rainalda held a special love for the holiday throughout her life, taking great joy in decorating and hosting memorable costume parties for family and friends.

A devoted servant of her faith community, Rainalda gave countless hours in service to others through St. Vincent de Paul and the food pantry at Prince of Peace.  She was deeply involved in Bible study and Grief Share, where her personal testimony, compassion, and wisdom brought comfort and encouragement to many.  She also treasured her weekly lunches with dear friends at Prince of Peace and was profoundly grateful for the kindness and unwavering support of her neighbors in Flowery Branch and Oakwood, Georgia.

Rainalda’s life was defined by unwavering love, resilience, faith, and generosity.  Her legacy lives on in the family she adored, the friends she cherished, and the many lives she uplifted through her presence and care.  She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
