Rebecca (Becky) Hanson

Rebecca (Becky) Hanson, ago 80, passed away November 6 2023.

She spent the last 5 years in Gainesville Ga living with her daughter. Her prior residence was Lynn Haven, Fla. She is originally from Elberton, Ga.

She is being cremated and her final resting place will be at Elmhurst Cemetery in Elberton Ga next to her son Andy Ray.  A celebration of life will be held at a future date.

She is survived by her 2 daughters and son in law, Melissa and Joel Turk of Gainesville, Ga. Tracy Besson of Canton Ga; 3 grandchildren, Amanda Grindle, Drew Besson and Aaron Besson; 3 great grandchildren and her aunt and a cousin from Lynn Haven Fla.

She is predeceased by her son Andy Mark Ray of Atlanta Ga, son in law David (Dave) Besson of Canton Ga and her husband Donovan Hanson of Lynn Haven Fla.

She was a social butterfly. She loved people, doing for others, painting, quilting and making crafts. Her favorite word was "Hon" as that’s what she called everyone. 

She will be missed dearly by her family and friends.
