Mr. Ricky Charles Bales, 71, Gainesville, GA, passed away on Friday, November 7, 2025, at his home.
A native of Barrow County, Mr. Bales was born on December 28, 1953, a son of the late Gene Austin and Donia Bell Tumlin Bales. He attended South Hall High School and worked with heavy machinery for a number of years. Mr. Bales was later employed with Fieldale Farms Corporation in Gainesville, retiring as Maintenance Supervisor. He attended Hopewell Baptist Church, as well as Free Chapel Worship Center.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Bales was preceded in death by a brother, Kenneth Gene Bales, and an infant daughter.
A Graveside Service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, November 14, at the Cemetery of Hopewell Baptist Church, Gainesville, GA, with Pastor Gary Thompson officiating.
Survivors include daughters and sons, April Murphy, Katie Dover, Ricky Bales Jr., Kayla Sanders and Jesse Bales; brother and sister-in-law, Jimmy Lewis and Jeanette Bales; brothers, Fred Daniel Bales and Winford Dean Bales; sister-in-law, Carolyn B. Collins; special cousin and his wife, Neal “Bo” and Drenda Greer; special friend and caretaker, Melissa Riddle; best friend, Kenneth “Kenny” Gaddis; and many grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
