Robert Waldron Obituary

Mr. Robert Malan Waldron, age 85, of Buford, passed away on Thursday, April 23, 2026.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday, May 1, 2026 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 4735 Cash Rd, Flowery Branch, GA 30542, with interment following at Memorial Park South Cemetery. Bishop Stephen Harkness will officiate. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Thursday, April 30, 2026 at Memorial Park South Funeral Home.

Mr. Waldron was born September 28, 1940 to the late Grant Levi Waldron and Maxine Malan Waldron in Ogden, Utah.

Robert, or Bobby, as his friends liked to call him, was an accountant who started his own business in Tucker, GA in 1979 and continued working until 2022, when he finally retired. He was a lifelong member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, a member of the Coast Guard Auxiliary for many years, and a member of the University Yacht Club for nearly 40 years, proudly serving as Commodore in 2000 — the year we all thought the world was going to come to an end. He loved boating and riding his Harley, but most of all he loved spending time with his family and friends. He was just the kind of man who knew how to make you feel special, and everyone was his best friend.

Bobby showed up. Not just for the big moments, but for the ordinary ones too — a movie, dinner, watching TV together. It didn't matter how busy life got; if you needed him, Papa found a way to be there, and he never once made you feel like you were asking too much. That quiet dependability was its own kind of love. And if something was broken, you called Bobby. His philosophy was simple: "If man can build it, man can fix it."

He is survived by his wife, EJ Waldron; children, Robert (Kali) Waldron, Scott (Christi) Waldron, Michael (Kristie) Waldron, Kelly (Tom) Stevenson, and James (Kim) Johnson; 13 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; sisters, Kaye (Staff) Larsen and Janet Erickson; and sister-in-law, Bobbi Waldron. He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Scott Waldron; and his brother-in-law, Don Erickson.
