Ronald Maxie Gibbs

Mr. Ronald Maxie Gibbs, age 69, passed away on Wednesday, June 24, 2026, in Gainesville, Georgia. He was born to the late William Maxie Gibbs and Martha Lonnie Buffington on October 1, 1956, in Gainesville, Georgia. He loved his church and his church family and his Ga Tech Yellow Jackets.

A funeral service will be at Westminster Presbyterian on Sunday, June 28, 2026, at 3:00 PM. Reverend Charlie Phillips and Reverend Stacey Cox will officiate the service. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday, June 27, 2026, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM

Mr. Gibbs is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Jane Wiley Gibbs; sister, Rebecca Gibbs; and brother-in-law, Larry Borders.

He is survived by his sisters, Dorothy Borders of Gainesville, Susan (Richard) Wiley of Gainesville; nephew, Shane Wiley of Gainesville; nieces, Julie Roberts of Gainesville, Lesa Daniel of Gainesville; special friend who was like a brother, Larry Sanford of Gainesville; and a number of great-nieces and great-nephews.
