Royce “Cailen” H’alexander Rundles, 21, of Dahlonega, GA; earned his wings, after a courageous battle with rhabdomyosarcoma, on December 21st, 2025. Born September 28th, 2004, Cailen was a vibrant soul, with a heart of gold. He LOVED making people laugh. And his blunt sense of humor couldn’t be matched, he was truly One of a Kind.
He is survived by his Loving parents: Emily Burnett Gers & Steven Gers, his Father, Royce Rundles. Sister: Samantha Gers. Paternal Grandmother: Shirley Rundles. Aunts & Uncles: Scott Burnett, Brian Burnett, Cyndi “Noon” Rundles, Greg Griffin, June Bozeman, Chris Bales, David Gers, Rob & Crystal Gers. Cousins: Cade Burnett, Ashely Burnett, Madison Barrett, Wyatt Barrett, Stetson Barrett & numerous others.
He is preceded in death by his Maternal Grandparents: C.H. Burnett, Betty Burnett-Griffin, & Gary Griffin. Paternal Grandfather: Jerry Rundles.
Cailen’s earthly life came with an abundance of medical challenges. But his adventurous spirit never kept him down. He spent a lot of time in & out of hospitals. And at the Ronald McDonald House, where he made it his personal mission to give back as much as he could. And boy did he ever, car loads of gifts each year just to see a Smile.
He liked to travel, hunt, fish, play video games, & LOVED him some Alabama Crimson Tide Football. I can hear him saying “Roll Tide”! Cailen also had a passion for welding that he was able to explore through his uncle Scott’s business, Burnett Welding. Though his time with us was far too short, he leaves a legacy that will never be forgotten.
The Family would like to give Special Thanks to Dr. Claire Stokes, Dr. Melissa Martin, & Cailen’s A1 from Day 1 Nurse, Lauralane “Laney” Smith. We are forever grateful to each one of you for your unwavering care & support.
Services will be held at Memorial Park Funeral Home North Riverside Chapel on Saturday, December 27th, 2025; at 3:00 p.m. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Jeff Burnett, & Adam Moody will be officiating.
