Russell "Rusty" W. Barber Jr.

Mr. Russell “Rusty” W. Barber, Jr., age 72, passed away on Thursday, April 23, 2026. He was born to the late Russell W. Barber, Sr. and Cluzelle Davis Barber on April 10, 1954 in Gainesville, Georgia. Throughout Rusty’s life, he loved his family, music, the Cubs, the Bulldogs, and most importantly the Lord.

A memorial service will be held at Memorial Park Funeral Home on May 2, 2026 at 4:00 PM. The family will be receiving friends on May 2, 2026 from 2:00 to 4:00 PM.

Mr. Barber is preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Becky McNeal, Larry Joe (Bug) Barber; and daughter, Juliet.

He is survived by his son, Dusty (Traci) Barber of Dahlonega, GA; grandchildren, Vivian Mitchell. Jude Finch; siblings, Poochie (Ray) Nix of Hoschton, GA, Kathy (Glen) Simpson of Gainesville, GA; children’s mother, Suzanne Barber; and many other loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
