Shirley Temple (Brown) Burnett

Mrs. Shirley Temple (Brown) Burnett, age 84, of Clermont, Georgia, passed away Sunday, June 28, 2026.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 4:00 and 5:00 to 7:00 pm Tuesday, June 30, 2026, at Memorial Park Riverside Chapel. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 pm Wednesday, July 1, 2026, at Community Chapel C.H. Church, 1620 Old Dahlonega Highway, Dahlonega, GA 30533 with interment to follow at Bethel Methodist Church Cemetery, 5999 Mt. Vernon Road, Murrayville, Georgia 30564. Reverend Tommy Towe, Reverend Clarence Reynolds and Reverend Joey Allen will officiate.

Shirley was born March 30, 1942, in Blairsville, Georgia. She was the daughter of the late Lum Brown and Benny Lee (Fortenberry) Brown. She was also preceded in death by her son, Rex Burnett and daughter, Judy Burnett; brothers, Robert Brown, Joe Brown, L. J. Brown and sister Florence Brown

Shirley was a homemaker and lived in Hall County for most of her life. She was a dedicated Christian and loved the Lord and her family.

She is survived by her husband, Ernest W. Burnett; daughters, Debbie Cagle and Michelle (Mark) Turner; grandchildren, Crystal Coker, Joshua Cagle, Tambra Norton, and Kristina Shoemake; 7 great-grandchildren; brother, Jack Brown; sisters, Clara Mae Dyer, Bonnie Henderson and Velma Harkins; and number of other family and friends also survive.
