Shirley Anne Duckett

Mrs. Shirley Anne Duckett, age 91, of Stockbridge, Ga. passed away on Saturday January 24, 2026.  She formally resided in Stone Mountain, Georgia, and was a longtime member of Smoke Rise Baptist Church.

She was born on November 4, 1934 in Lanett, Alabama to the late Newton Tandy Herrington Jr. and Lois Viola Brewster Herrington.  In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Duckett to whom she was married for 69 years.

Graveside services will be held Tuesday January 27, 2026 at 2:00 PM at Floral Hills Memory Gardens in Tucker, Ga.  Rev. Ernie Forrester will officiate.

Mrs. Duckett is survived by her children, Andy Duckett (Linda) of Stone Mtn., Larry Duckett (Yvonne) of Ocean Isle, N.C., Ruth Anne Brockman (Roger) of Young Harris, Ga., Daniel Duckett (Sonya) of Marietta, brother, Claude Herrington of St. Augustine, Fla. Grandchildren, Robert Braswell (Geneva), Stephen Braswell (Amanda), Michael Duckett (Rebecca), Riley Duckett, Daniel Duckett, Tracer Duckett, Lori Duckett, Joel Dennard (Linda), great grandchildren, Mason Braswell, Payton Braswell, Kameron Braswell, and Emma Braswell.
