Shirley Ann Self

Mrs. Shirley Ann Self, age 88 of Lawrenceville, passed away on Friday, May 8, 2026 at her home, surrounded by family.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, May 14, 2026 at Memorial Park South Chapel with Rev. Jerry Edmondson officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:00 to 2:00 P.M. prior to the service at Memorial Park South Funeral Home.

Mrs. Self was born May 31, 1937 to the late I.H Peeples & Susie Frances Thomas in Griffin, Georgia. She was a retired school bus driver with Gwinnett County Schools.

She is survived by her sons, Kelvin (Laura) Thacker, Kenneth (Kim) Thacker; daughter, Karen (Louis) Bonora; grandchildren, Karol (Rodney) Doyle, Brian Thacker, Lauren Johnson, Jared Thacker, & Cody Buck; and 11 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her 5 brothers and 6 sisters.
