Mr. Stanley Howard Wright, 78, of Gainesville, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 19, 2026 at his residence following an extended illness.

Stanley was born on November 4, 1947, in Leachville, Arkansas to the late Jack and Vivian Wright. He was a loving and proud husband, father, grandfather, and friend.
As a dedicated member of Christ Place Church, he spent his Sundays volunteering wherever needed, especially in the parking lot. He was a faithful member of the Gideons (Hall County South). He shared his love of the gospel by giving out bibles to children and speaking at many churches.
Stanley was an Army Veteran of which he was very proud. He loved all kinds of sports. Golf was his favorite game to play, but you could also find him watching baseball at the ball field or on television. He also volunteered his time as a referee for youth basketball.
Stanley and Pat loved to be in the woods looking for a big buck. No matter their success, they made sure they were back by Saturday night to be at church on Sunday morning.
