Terry Eugene Helms

Mr. Terry Eugene Helms, age 71 of Jefferson, passed away on Saturday, January 17, 2026.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, January 21, 2026 at Memorial Park South Chapel with Pastor Calvin Gooch officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M. Tuesday, January 20, 2026 and 11:00 A.M. to 2:00 P.M. prior to the service Wednesday, January 21, 2026 at Memorial Park South Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Christopher Santiago, Kevin Stewart, Shawn Hawkins, Austin Francis, Larry Roland, & Robert Roland.

Mr. Helms was born November 10, 1954 to the late David Ott & Bobbie Jean Helms in Charlotte, North Carolina. He was a decorated First Sergeant of the United States Army.

He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Belinda Helms; daughter, Melissa (Shannon) Fortson; brothers, Larry Roland & Robert Roland; sister, Tammy Jackson; 6 grandchildren; and 9 great-grandchildren.
