Thomas H. Koch, age 98, was called home to our Lord on Saturday, May 30,2026 in Gainesville GA. Thomas was born June 4, 1927 in Two Rivers, Wisconsin, The son of Laura and William Koch. He served in the U. S. Army during WW2. He attended UW Green Bay for 2 years. He married Joanne LeMere of Two Rivers, Wisconsin. They were married 67 years. They enjoyed traveling, gardening, ballroom dancing, major home remodeling and time at Point Beach State Park in Two Rivers, WI.
Tom worked in the construction industry, first as office manager, then moving up to estimator and job superintendent for J.P. Cullen and Sons of Janesville, WI and The Boldt Co. of Appleton, WI.
Tom was a loving son, brother, husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He and Joanne actively supported family and attended many family events. He is survived by his three daughters (Mary Jo Girdharry, Lorna Kumlien, and Sharon Koch), 4 grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by three brothers (Bill Koch, Claude Koch, and Dan Koch).
In his retirement he continued his love of woodworking and building. He also learned how to make elegant silver jewelry and beautiful Tiffany stained glass lamps as well as numerous other items in stained glass. His creativity continued in starting water color painting when he was 90.
We want to express how thankful we are to the staff of Hamilton Place P.L. and Northeast Georgia Medical Center Hospice for the loving care they gave Tom.
