Tony Pritchett

Tony Pritchett, age 78, of Gainesville, Georgia, passed away Monday, December 29, 2025.

The family will receive friends from 4 to 7 pm Tuesday, December 30, 2025 at Memorial Park Riverside Chapel. Celebration of Life will be held 1:00 pm Wednesday, December 31, 2025 at the funeral home.

Tony was born on September 25, 1947, in Gainesville, Georgia. He was the son of the late James M. Pritchett and Ruby (Smith) Chapman. He was a proud Gainesville High School (Red Elephant) graduate. He also attended Gainesville Junior College.

He was married for 58 years to his high school sweetheart, Linda (Hutchins) Pritchett. He retired from the Georgia Department of Transportation after 34 years. Following his retirement he worked with Georgia Transmission Company for 10 years and later with a consulting firm that landed him back where he started at the Georgia Department of Transportation.

Tony is survived by his loving wife, Linda; daughter and son-in-law, Jennifer and Don Parrish; grandsons, Jacob and Abby Parrish, Eli Parrish; and great-grandson, Reid Parrish.

His greatest joy was spending time with his family and especially beach vacations with his grandsons.
