Virginia "Ginny" (Presley) Enzor

Virginia Dare Presley Enzor (Ginny) passed away on Saturday, June 13 in Gainesville, Georgia. Funeral services will be held at Trinity United Methodist Church in Clermont, Georgia on Thursday, June 18 at 2pm with a reception to follow. The Reverend Chris Hester will officiate. Interment will be in the church cemetery.

Ginny was born in Taylors, South Carolina on August 20, 1939, to parents Clyde Andrew Presley and Janie Lavada Achord Presley. She grew up in Thomaston, Georgia and graduated from the R.E. Lee Institute in 1957. After graduation, she moved to Atlanta to take a job with Eastern Airlines as a meteorologist’s assistant and learned to plot weather maps. She met her husband Walt in Atlanta and married in 1958. Ginny also worked at Delta and Holder Construction before beginning her most important job: Mom and then later, Grammy. She focused on raising her two children Stacy and Wally in Snellville, Ga. until 1979 when the family moved to Gainesville. 

Ginny spent many hours volunteering in the schools and with clubs like 4-H in both Snellville and Gainesville. She was a member of the Snellville Garden Club and enjoyed sewing for fashion shows and helping with the floats for the annual parade. In Gainesville, she joined the Creative Arts Study Club and continued sewing, knitting and painting along with chauffeuring her children and their friends and attending all of their activities. 

Ginny was married for over 45 years to Walt when he passed away and she took charge of running his low voltage wiring business, Enzor Technologies, for over 15 years. In 2005, she attended a B.U.L.L.I. music class at Brenau after an almost 50 year lapse and rekindled her skills at playing clarinet. She joined the Believers Band at Gainesville First United Methodist Church and played with them for more than 15 years, even attending a week-long adult band camp to practice her technique. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church for over 45 years.

Ginny was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Walter P. Enzor, Jr., and her brother Wesley Presley.

She is survived by her daughter Stacy Enzor Finelli, her son Walter P. Enzor, III (Wally) and his wife Cindy, and her four grandchildren: Will Enzor, Jacob Enzor, Zoë Finelli and Addison Enzor, all of Gainesville, Georgia. She is also survived by her sisters Charlotte Ray (and Ken) of Meansville, Georgia and Carol Silver of Crestview, Florida and her sister-in-law Sarah Enzor Waters of Dunwoody, Georgia.
