Mr. William Pascal “Pat” Samples of Gainesville, Georgia, age 79 passed away on Tuesday, March 3, 2026. He was born to the late Hoyt and Minervia Samples on December 12, 1946 in Cumming, Georgia. After graduating, Pat answered the call to serve his country, joining the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He served with honor, demonstrating remarkable bravery and dedication to duty, for which he was awarded Purple Hearts and other prestigious medals.
Following his military service, Pat built a long and rewarding career in home construction and remodeling, helping to shape the community he loved. Beyond his work, he was best known for his infectious laughter, his love for the game of golf, and his unwavering commitment to helping others. Pat lived by the philosophy that everyone can make a difference; he spent his life elevating those around him and took great pride in mentoring others in the value of kindness.
To those who knew him, Pat was a man of his word—if he said he would do something, you could count on it. His family remembers him for his integrity, his belief in the power of education, and his conviction that a person’s only limitations are the ones they place upon themselves. Above all, he was a devoted son, a loving husband, and a dedicated father whose smile and bright blue eyes could light up any room.
