Mr. Robert Steve Sosebee, 64

Mr. Robert Steve Sosebee, 64, of Gainesville, passed away Friday, January 1, 2021 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center Braselton Campus.

 

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, January 4, 2021 in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home. Pastor John Kinsey will officiate. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Memorial Park Funeral home on Sunday January 3rd from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Due to Covid-19, the family requests that everyone attending the visitation and service wear a mask and adhere to social distancing guidelines.

 

Born on January 19, 1956 in Gainesville, he was the son of the late Boyd Washington and Clara Bell Wingo Sosebee. He was employed with FoodMate US Inc. where he was an engineer. Mr. Sosebee was of the Baptist faith.

 

In addition to his parents, Mr. Sosebee is preceded in death by his brothers, Carlton Sosebee and Wayne Sosebee.

 

Mr. Sosebee is survived by his wife of 41 years, Theresa Sosebee; daughters and sons in law, Amber and Craig Etris, Ashley and Josh Tinsley; son and daughter in law, Anthony and Kayla Sosebee; grandchildren, Emma Etris, Eyen Etris, Kolton Sosebee; mother in law, Mae Whitmire; niece, Karla Pettitt; nephews, Matthew Sosebee, Jonathon Sosebee, Paul Petty; brothers in law, Allen Petty, Mark Oliver and a number of other relatives.

 

Memorial Park Funeral Home, 2030 Memorial Park Road, Gainesville, GA  30504 is in charge of arrangements.

Dear Sosebee family, I want to send out our condoleances. It is a great loss. I have known Steve for at least 25 years. Always when I was visiting the US I was always having a good talk with Steve. Also Steve was at our company in The Netherlands several and we always enjoyed having him over.
